1. General_______
A. The following section describes the details of the pitch axis control autopilot (A/P) and flight director (F/D) operation in all modes of flight. Additional information on autopilot/flight director (AP/FD) mode desciption and flight profile is discussed in 22-10-00/001.
B. The major components providing pitch axis control of the airplane are (Fig. 1 and 2):
