 AF (d) On control panel, set ALT RPTG switch to off and verify the
 AF test set ALT field is blanked. Set ALT RPTG switch to ON.
 AF (e) On control panel, press and release IDENT pushbutton and verify
 AF on test set the ID message is displayed before the mode A code.
 AF (9) Do a check of the SLS LEVEL TEST.
 AF (a) Make sure the reply is received when the SLS pulse is -9 dB and
 AF no reply is received when the SLS pulse is 0 dB.

 AF NOTE:____Run the SLS level test in less than 95 feet (29 m) of
 AF the antenna under test.

 AF (10) Do a check of the ATCRBS ONLY ALL-CALL TEST.

 AF (a) Make sure a reply is received when SPR is ON and no reply is
 AF received when SPR is OFF.
 AF (14) Do a check of the MODE S UFO TEST.
 AF (a) Make sure (Down-link Format) DF=0, AC=(airplane's altitude) and
 AF ADDRESS=(airplane's mdoe S address), RI=C.

 AF (a) Make sure DF=4, AC=(airplane's altitude) and

AF AF (20) Do a check of the MODE S UF21 TEST. AF (a) Make sure DF=21, ID=(selected ATC ID code on the ATC control AF panel) and ADDRESS=(airplane's mode A address). AF AF NOTE:____No reply to the UF21 test is not a failure of the ATC AF system. AF AF (21) Do a check of the SQUITTER TEST. AF (a) Make sure the squitter period is between 0.8 to 2.4 seconds. AF (22) Do a check of the FREQUENCY TEST. AF (a) Make sure the reply frequency of the transponder is 1090 MHz AF |1 MHz AF (23) Do a check of the DIVERSITY TEST. AF (a) Make sure the test set shows PASSED and the DIVERSITY ISOLATION AF IS > or = 20dB. AF AF NOTE:____To make sure the dynamic range is > or = 20dB, do the AF diversity test at a distance of less than 50 feet AF (15 meters) from the airplane's ATC antennas. AF AF (24) Do a check of the MTL DIFFERENCE TEST. AF (a) Make sure the Minimum Threshold Level (MLT) difference between AF mode A and mode C is < or = 1.odBm. AF (25) Push the PWR TEST key on the test set. AF AF NOTE:____Make sure the top ATC antenna is not in line of sight of the AF test set antenna during the POWER TEST. AF AF (26) Push the antenna pushbutton switch. AF (27) Slowly move the test set antenna 6 feet (1.8m) vertically from the AF ground, at less than 1 FT/SEC (30 cm/sec). AF (28) Push the antenna pushbutton switch a second time to stop the test AF when the test set antenna is approximately 6 feet high. AF (29) Do a check of the POWER TEST. AF (a) Make sure the peak power output of the transponder is between AF 70 W (ERP = 48.5 dBm) and 500 W (ERP = 57.0 dBm). AF (30) Make sure the Minimum Threshold Level (MTL) sensitivity is -74 dBm AF (|3 dBm). AF (31) Make sure the test set shows PASSED for the BOT AVG (dBm).
 G. ATC No. 1 System Test AF AF PART II - Top Antenna AF (1) Insert the antenna shield over the bottom ATC antenna. AF (2) Move the test set so that it is in line of sight of the top ATC AF antenna.
