(2)
Ensure that all ADI, HSI, and flight instrument switching circuit breakers are closed.
(3)
Ensure that all VOR/ILS systems are turned on (Ref 34-31-00, Adjustment/Test).
(4)
Ensure that all low range radio altimeter systems are turned on (Ref 34-33-00, Adjustment/Test).
(5)
Ensure that all inertial navigation systems are operating correctly in the NAV mode and that INS warning flags do not appear on the related flight instruments (Ref 34-41-00, Adjustment/Test).
(6)
Ensure that all magnetic heading reference systems are operating correctly in the SLAVED mode and that compass warning flags do not appear on the related flight instruments (Ref 34-21-00, Adjustment/Test).
B. Position flight instrument switches as follows:
(1)
Both RADIO/INS switches to RADIO (VOR/ILS) position.
(2)
INS transfer switches so that captain operates from INS 1 and first officer operates from INS 2.
(3)
Compass transfer switches so that captain operates from MHRS 1 and first officer operates from MHRS 2.
(4)
Attitude transfer switches so that captain operates from INS 1 and first officer operates from INS 2. On all MD and AT airplanes, VOR/ILS transfer switches so that captain operates from VOR/ILS receiver 1 and first officer from VOR/ILS receiver 2.
C. Confirm that all systems, flight instrument switching, and flight instruments supplying information to the CIWS are functioning correctly. Check that both horizontal situation indicators display the same magnetic heading, both attitude director indicators display the same aircraft attitude, and INS and compass warning flags are out of view.

1. General
_______
A. Failure warning outputs from the CIWS computer will not occur when all subsystems monitored by the computer are operating within their prescribed limits. Because of this, all interfacing subsystems supplying data to the computer must be operating correctly or turned off prior to testing the CIWS. The CIWS adjustment/test consists only of an operational test.
