P. Wet/Dry Engine Configuration (IB Airplanes)

To check Wet/Dry engine configuration; press PERF DATA Key on the CDU. Push CDU slew switch momentarily to FWD position and advance display to PERF DATA.....4/4 page. Verify that the word 'DRY' is displayed at the end of data line 3.

Press CDU CLEAR key.
(4)
If the PMS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
Q. Engine Data
(1)
If required prepare for test as described in paragraph D.
(2)
On IB airplanes, to check validity of engine data, press PERF DATA key on the CDU. Push CDU slew switch momentarily to FWD position and advance display to PERF DATA.....3/4 page. Verify that the display at end of data line 1 indicates:
'EPRL X.XXX"
The Xs' should be numbers and not dashes or blanks.

Where X's are numbers that represent the K-Factor determined for the airplane.

S. Cost Index

To check cost index (factor based on time costs and fuel costs for using airline); press CDU STS/TEST key. Press line select 1 switch. Key in 0,0,2,0,1. Verify that the PMS CDU appears as follows:

Where X's are numbers that represent the cost index determined for the airplane.

U. Waypoint Control.
(1)
If required prepare for test as described in paragraph D.
(2)
Ensure that present position latitude and longitude coordinates are entered into each INS (Refer to 34-41). Verify that the mode selector switch, on each INS MSU, is set to ALIGN.
(3)
On IB airplanes, ensure that the AUTO/MAN/RMT switch on each INS CDU is set to MAN.
(4)
Determine if the PMS or the INS has waypoint control by using the following procedures:
(a) Press PLNG key on the PMS CDU. Press line select switch 3 to display FLT PLN CONFIG.....1/6 page. If the PMS has waypoint control, the CDU display (data line 1 and data line 2) indicates:

If the INS has waypoint control the CDU display (data line 1 and data line 2) indicates:
