(See Note above.) AF (2) Do these steps for the ATC 2 transponder. AF (a) Check that R/T and ANT fault annunciators are black. If AF yellow, push the RESET button to turn them black. AF AF NOTE:____On some ATC, only ANT annunciator can be reset with the AF RESET button. If R/T annunciator is yellow, replace AF equipment. AF AF (b) Push the green REPLY light and verify AF 1) RPLY is shown on control panel display AF 2) Green REPLY light on the transponder is on all the time the AF button is pressed and stays on approximately 15 sec. after AF the button is released. AF AF NOTE:____The green replay light is ON as long as the AF transponder is replying to a ground station AF interrogation. So, it can be steady ON before or AF after a test sequence. System Test - ATC 1 and 2 AF A. General AF (1) The ATC system test is a complete system checkout of the ATC. AF (2) Two test procedures are described: AF (a) One for No. 1 ATC mode S AF (b) The other for No. 2 ATC mode A/C (ATCRBS) AF (3) The external IFR ATC 601 ramp test set is required to check No. 1 AF ATC. It will be used also for No. 2 ATC in the following system AF test. (See also step 1.B(2).) AF (4) No. 1 ATC transponder responds to signals from the antenna with the AF larger received signal strength. It is necessary to put the test AF antenna near the applicable ATC antenna to make sure that the test AF is done correctly (top or bottom antenna). AF B. Special Tools and Equipment AF (1) Ramp test set IFR 601. AF (2) Portable pressure equipment to simulate 0 to 40000 feet altitude AF (AMM 34-11-00/501). AF C.
