Use tang end of bulb/assembly removal tool to remove key cap from key switch.
(3)
Use barrel end of bulb/assembly removal tool to pull key switch lamp from socket.
B. Lamp Installation
(1)
Use barrel end of bulb/assembly removal tool to grasp lamp at junction between glass and plastic base.
(2)
Carefully insert lamp leads into sockets in key switch.
(3)
Place cap over switch, being sure placarding is right side up, and press into switch.
(4)
Close PMS CDU circuit breaker on P7 panel.
NOTE: On CDU P/N's 16008000-21/41, front panel keyboard lamps are not

replaceable.
8. Relamp INSERT Key, CDU P/N 16008000-21 (Fig. 304)

A. Lamp Removal
(1)
Open PMS CDU circuit breaker on P7 panel.
(2)
Remove INSERT key cap from CDU front panel by loosening the two captive screws.
(3)
Using bulb removal/replacement tool (Fig. 303), carefully remove bulb.
B. Lamp Installation
(1)
Install replacement bulb by carefully inserting bulb leads into sockets using bulb removal/replacement tool.
(2)
Install INSERT key cap and secure the two captive screws.
(3)
Close PMS CDU circuit breaker on P7 panel.
9. Replace CDU Front Panel Assembly (Fig. 307)

A. Remove Front Panel Assembly
(1)
Open PMS CDU circuit breaker on P7 panel.
(2)
Remove four flathead screws which secure front panel assembly to case.

Carefully pull front panel assembly from case until connector is accessible.
(4)
Disconnect harness assembly connector from mating connector on front panel assembly, and remove front panel assembly.
B. Install Front Panel Assembly
(1)
Carefully connect harness assembly connector to mating connector on front panel assembly.
(2)
Position front panel assembly on CDU case and secure with four flathead screws.
(3)
Close PMS CDU circuit breaker on P7 panel.
10. Replace CDU Display Assembly, CDU P/N 16008000-11/511 (Fig. 307)

A. Remove CDU Display Assembly
(1)
Open PMS CDU circuit breaker on P7 panel.
(2)
Remove CDU from panel.
(a)
Loosen four quick-release fasteners.
(b)
Carefully pull CDU from panel.
(3)
Remove front panel assembly.
(a)
Remove four flat head screws that secure front panel assembly to case.
(b)
Carefully pull front panel assembly from case until connector is visible.
(c)
Disconnect connector on front panel assembly from mating connector on harness assembly and remove front panel assembly.
(4)
Remove display assembly
(a)
Remove six flat head screws that secure display assembly to baffle and to case.
(b)
Carefully slide display assembly out of case and remove baffle and nut plate from display assembly.
(c)
Disconnect two connectors (J9, J10) on display assembly from mating connectors on interconnect assembly.
B. Install CDU Display Assembly
