(d)
Attach the quick disconnect between the waveguide Section 1 and the antenna waveguide.
(e)
Install screws and washers in the waveguide flanges of the antenna pedestal and waveguide Section 1.
(f)
Connect the electrical connector DB143A to the antenna connector J1.
(g)
Connect the electrical connector DB143B to the antenna connector J2.
(5)
Install the flat plate (AMM 34-43-03/401).
(6)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
(7)
Do the weather radar operational test or the ground test (AMM 34-43-00/501).
(8)
Do the Antenna Tilt Tests in the Weather Radar System - Adjustment Test (AMM 34-43-00/501).
(9)
If electrical power is not necessary; Remove electrical power: Manual Control (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(10)
Close the nose radome: Nose Radome (AMM 34-43-03/401).
15. Restore Airplane to Normal__________________________
A. Close and secure nose radome.
(1)
Depress plunger on quick-release door hold-open pins and remove pin from each hold-open lock fitting.
(2)
Stow each quick-release pin in recess located near each bumper.
(3)
Swing radome to closed position.
(4)
Insert 5/16-inch Allen (hex) wrench into one of the six radome latch sockets, depress wrench and turn clockwise until latch hook is firmly engaged in latch eyebolt. Be sure depressed inner latch returns to its original position (even with the airplane skin).
CAUTION: THE WRENCH MUST NOT BE INSERTED INTO THE LATCH
_______ PERPENDICULAR TO THE AIRPLANE SKIN; IT MUST SLANT AWAY (AFT) FROM THE NOSE OF THE AIRPLANE (FIG. 401). DO NOT USE A HAMMER OR IN ANY WAY FORCE THE WRENCH INTO THE LATCH. MAKE SURE THE WRENCH IS INSERTED COMPLETELY INTO THE LATCH BEFORE TURNING OR DAMAGE TO THE LATCH WILL RESULT.
(5) Repeat previous step for each of the remaining five latches.
B. Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-00).

WEATHER RADAR WAVEGUIDE COMPONENTS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
_________________________________________________________
1. General_______(Fig. 401)
A. This procedure contains the steps necessary to replace any or all sections of the waveguide. Included are the procedures for replacing the waveguide switch and associated equipment.
B. On ALL EXCEPT FREIGHTER airplanes, removal of sections 4 thru 6 of the waveguide, the dummy load (if installed), the reflectometer (if installed in place of section 5 ), and the waveguide switch all require access to the forward electronic equipment shelf, through the crawlway from the main electronics equipment center. Sections 1 and 2 require that the radome be opened. Gain access to both areas to replace section 3 (Fig. 401). Refer to nose radome opening/closing procedures in 34-43-03.
CAUTION: CARE MUST BE EXERCISED TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO WAVEGUIDE, FLANGES
_______ AND GASKETS OR WEATHER RADAR SYSTEM OPERATION MAY BE DEGRADED. PREVENT ENTRY OF FOREIGN OBJECTS INTO WAVEGUIDE COMPONENTS.
C. On FREIGHTER airplanes, removal of sections 4 and 5 of the waveguide, waveguide switch, reflectometer (in place of section 4 if installed), and dummy load (if installed), require access to below the compartment floor. Sections 1 and 2 require that the radome be opened. Gain access to both areas to replace section 3 (Fig. 401). Refer to nose radome opening/closing procedures 34-43-03.
