Remove two screws on clamp and remove clamp.
(5)
Remove waveguide section 1 and gaskets.
(6)
Place protective covers over exposed waveguide flanges.
B. Remove waveguide section 2.
(1)
Open nose radome to gain access to waveguide section 2 (Ref 34-43-03).
(2)
Remove four screws, lockwashers and flat washers securing section 1 to flange support angle and section 2.
(3)
Remove four screws and lockwashers from flanges between sections 2 and 3.
(4)
Remove two screws on clamp and remove clamp.
(5)
Remove waveguide section 2 and gaskets.
(6)
Place protective covers on exposed waveguide flanges.
C. Remove waveguide section 3.
NOTE: To remove waveguide section 3, access is required inside the nose
____ radome and below the compartment floor in the nose cargo door section.
(1)
To gain access inside the nose radome, open nose radome (Ref 34-43-03).
(2)
To gain access to section 3 below the compartment floor perform the following:
(a)
Remove the center cargo floor panel by disengaging eight fasteners.
(b)
Remove the right cargo floor panel by disengaging five fasteners.
(3)
Remove screws and lockwashers from flanges between section 2 and 3.
(4)
Remove eight screws from bulkhead flange.
(5)
Remove screws and lockwashers from flanges between sections 3 and 4.
(6)
Remove two screws, two nuts and four washers securing section 3 aft waveguide tab to the aft support bracket.
(7)
Remove two screws, two nuts and four washers securing section 3 forward waveguide tab to the forward support bracket.
(8)
Place protective covers on exposed waveguide flanges.
(9)
Support section 3 and carefully pull section 3 forward through hole in bulkhead. Remove waveguide gaskets.
D. Remove reflectometer( waveguide section 4).
(1)
Perform step C (2) to remove the center and right cargo floor panels.
(2)
Remove four screws and lockwashers from flanges between section 3 and reflectometer.

(3)
Remove four screws and lockwashers from flanges between reflectometer and waveguide section 5.
(4)
Remove reflectometer and gaskets.
(5)
Place protective covers on exposed waveguide flanges.
E. Remove waveguide section 5.
(1)
Perform step C(3) to remove the center and right cargo floor panels.
(2)
Remove four screws and lockwashers from flanges between reflectometer and section 5.
(3)
Remove four screws and lockwashers from section 5 flange and waveguide switch.
(4)
Remove waveguide section 5 and gaskets.
(5)
Place protective covers on exposed waveguide flanges.
9. Remove Waveguide On Freighter Airplanes with Collins WXR-700X Weather Radar
___________________________________________________________________________
A. Remove waveguide section 1.
(1)
Open nose radome to gain access to waveguide section 1 (Ref 34-43-03).
(2)
Disconnect antenna waveguide quick disconnect from section 1.
(3)
Remove four screws, lockwashers and flat washers securing section 1 to flange support angle and section 2.
(4)
Remove two screws on clamp and remove clamp.
(5)
Remove waveguide section 1 and gaskets.
(6)
Place protective covers over exposed waveguide flanges.
B. Remove waveguide section 2.
(1)
Open nose radome to gain access to waveguide section 2 (Ref 34-43-03).
(2)
Remove four screws, lockwashers and flat washers securing section 1 to flange support angle and section 2.
(3)
Remove four screws and lockwashers from flanges between sections 2 and 3.
(4)
Remove two screws on clamp and remove clamp.
(5)
Remove waveguide section 2 and gaskets.
(6)
Place protective covers on exposed waveguide flanges.
C. Remove waveguide section 3.
