Press and hold captain's INSTR WARNING TEST switch and observe that all annunciator lights come on and INST WARN lights flash approximately three times in 2 seconds. On AF ALL; AT ALL; AZ ALL; GN ALL; MD ALL; SN ALL; VM ALL; IB 406-499; LH 011-099; PLUS ATLAS AIRPLANES INCORPORATING SB 34-2059, Attitude comparator aural warning units should also come on.

Release INSTR WARNING TEST switch. Captain's and first officer's annunciator lights should go out except the INST WARN lights should continue to flash. On AF ALL; AT ALL; AZ ALL; GN ALL; MD ALL; SN ALL; VM ALL; IB 406-499; LH 011-099; PLUS ATLAS AIRPLANES INCORPORATING SB 34-2059, the attitude comparator aural warning units should also go off when test switch is released.

Press captain's and first officer's PUSH TO RESET. Each INST WARN light should go out when pressed.

Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-00).

CIWS ANNUNCIATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

2. Remove CIWS Annunciator

A. Open all CIWS circuit breakers on overhead circuit breaker panel P7.
B. The captain's and first officer's main instrument panels are installed with a sliding track mechanism for ease in servicing. The panels can slide aft approximately 9 inches and tilt to provide access to the annunciators. A panel safety latch automatically engages when panels are pushed forward. The safety latch must be manually operated to allow the panels to move aft.
C. Release main instrument panel retaining fasteners and safety latch.
D. Slide panel aft to gain access to annunciator module and electrical connector.
E. Disconnect electrical connector from annunciator module.
F. Pull straight out on lamp housing assembly to remove from annunciator module.
G. Support annunciator module and remove two attaching screws from front of module retainer.
H. Remove module retainer and annunciator module from instrument panel.
I. Reassemble annunciator module and module retainer using two attaching screws. Insert lamp housing assembly in module.
3. Install CIWS Annunciator

A. Disassemble annunciator for installation on instrument panel by pulling out on lamp assembly on front of annunciator to gain access to attaching screws to remove module retainer.
B. Release main instrument panel retaining fasteners and safety latch and slide panel aft.
C. Position annunciator module into panel cutout so that TOP stamped on surface matches TOP stamped on module retainer.
D. Position module retainer on front of annunciator and secure with two attaching screws.
E. Insert lamp housing assembly in annunciator module.
F. Connect electrical connector to annunciator module.
G. Push main instrument panel forward and secure fasteners.
H. Test annunciator electrical connections as follows:

Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-00).

Close CIWS circuit breakers on overhead circuit breaker panel P7.

Press and hold INSTR WARNING TEST switch and observe that all annunciator lights come on and INST WARN lights flash approximately three times in 2 seconds. On AF ALL; AT ALL; AZ ALL; GN ALL; MD ALL; SN ALL; VM ALL; IB 406-499; LH 011-099; plus ATLAS airplanes incorporating SB 34-2059, The attitude comparator aural warning units should also cycle on and off.

Release INSTR WARNING TEST switch. Captain's and first officer's annunciator lights should go out except the INST WARN lights should continue to flash.
