AF (l) Put the gain of the test set antenna in the 1030_ and 1090_

AF (m) Put the loss of the cable in the LOSS field.

AF (n) Use the SLEW keys to change the values.
AF (o) Use the SELECT keys to change the items.
AF (p) Use the SELECT keys to select the antenna which you must test.
AF (q) Push the POWER key on the test set to save batteries.
AF E. Prepare for the No. 1 ATC System Test.
AF (1) Open circuit breaker ATC 2 on P7 panel.
AF (2) On the ATC control panel, set the switches as follows:
AF (a) Select switch on STBY.
AF (b) Set code 0001.
AF (c) Altitude reporting to OFF.
AF (3) Connect the Pitot/Static test set to the Captains static system.
AF (4) Set the captains altimeter to 29.92 inches of mercury.
AF (5) Apply static pressure with the air data set to get the altitude of
AF 40,000 feet.
AF F. ATC No. 1 System

AF Test PART I - ATC Bottom Antenna
AF (1) On the ATC control panel do these steps.
AF (a) Set the function selector to 1
AF (b) Set the ALT RPTG switch to ON
AF (c) Set the ATC ID code to 0001
AF (2) Push the POWER key on the test set.
AF (3) Push the AUTO TEST key on the test set.
AF (4) Use the RUN/STOP key to start or stop individual test.
AF (5) Use the SELECT key to select each individual test.
AF (6) Do a check of the REPLY DELAY TEST.
AF (a) Make sure the replay delay is 128.00.S (|0.25.S) for mode S and
AF ITM.
AF (b) Make sure the reply delay is 3.00.S (|0.5.S)for ATC A and C.
AF (7) Do a check of the REPLY JITTER TEST.
AF (a) Make sure the reply jitter is < or = 0.05.S for mode S.
AF (b) Make sure the reply jitter is < or = 0.06.S for ITM A and C.
AF (c) Make sure the reply jitter is < or = 0.1.S for ATC A and C.
AF (8) Do a check of the ATCRBS REPLY TEST.
