Press PERF DATA key on the PMS CDU. Push the CDU slew switch as required to advance the display to PERF DATA.....3/4 page. Verify that data line 1 indicates the simulated DME distance as follows:
'DME 180 XXX'
(4)
Adjust the DME ramp test set (refer to 34-55-00) to simulate a distance of 5|2 nautical miles on DME interrogator No. 1. Verify that data line 1 on PERF DATA.....3/4 page indicates:
'DME 5 XXX'
(5)
Repeat steps (2) and (3) for DME-2; observe the DME-2 simulated distance on the PMS CDU is as follows:
'DME XXX 180'
(6)
Repeat step (4) for DME-2; observe the DME-2 simulated distance on the PMS CDU is as follows:
'DME XXX 5'
(7)
Turn off the DME ramp test set (Refer to 34-55-00).
(8)
Open DME-1 circuit breaker. Observe that line 1 changes to --- XXX.
(9)
Open DME-2 circuit breaker. Observe that line 1 changes to --- ---.
(10)
Close DME-1 and DME-2 circuit breakers.
(11)
Press CDU CLEAR key.
(12)
If the PMS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
Y. Low Range Radio Altimeter (LRRA) Interface
(1) If required prepare for test as described in par. D.
NOTE: Make sure that F/O's baro altimeter reads less than 16,000
____
feet.

(2)
Connect a radio altimeter tester to the receiver transmitter of LRRA-1. Also connect a radio altimeter tester to the receiver transmitter of LRRA-2.
(3)
Set each LRRA tester to an altitude of zero feet.
(4)
Press PERF DATA key on the PMS CDU. Push the CDU slew switch as required to advance the display to PERF DATA.....4/4 page. Verify that data line 3 displays the LRRA status as 'R/A*', indicating both LRRA's are below 2500 feet.
(5)
On LRRA-1, adjust the tester to simulate a radio altitude above 2800 feet. The pilots LRRA-1 indicator may be observed as an aid in determining the radio altitude. Verify on the PMS CDU that the LRRA status remains as 'R/A*'.
(6)
On LRRA-2 tester, increase the simulated radio altitude until the LRRA status on the PMS CDU changes to 'R/A', indicating that both LRRA's are above 2500 feet. Verify that the pilots LRRA-2 indicator shows 2500 | 300 feet.
(7)
On LRRA-1, readjust the tester to an altitude below 2500 feet, then increase the simulated altitude until the LRRA status on the PMS CDU changes to R/A indicating that both LRRAs are above 2500 feet. Verify that the pilot's LRRA-1 indicator shows 2500 |300 feet.
(10)
Open LRRA-1 system circuit breaker. Observe that R/A* is displayed.
(11)
Open LRRA-2 system circuit breaker. Observe that R/A is displayed.
(12)
Close LRRA-1 system circuit breaker. Observe that R/A* is displayed.
(13)
Close LRRA-2 system circuit breaker.
(14)
Press CDU CLEAR key.
(15)
If the PMS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
(8) Return both LRRA testers to an altitude of zero feet. Verify that
the LRRA status on the PMS CDU changes to 'R/A*'.
(9) Disconnect the LRRA testers from the LRRA systems.
Z. GMT Clock Interface
(1)
If required prepare for test as described in par. D.
(2)
Press the PLNG key on the PMS CDU. Push the CDU slew switch as required to advance the display to PLNG INIT.....2/6 page. Verify that data line 2 indicates GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) as displayed on the flight engineer's clock.
NOTE: A time of 21 hours 52 minutes displayed on the clock will
____ read 'GMT 2152Z' on the CDU display.
(3)
Vary the time setting on the clock and verify that the CDU display changes with the clock setting.
(4)
Reset clock to the correct GMT.
(5)
Press CDU CLEAR key.
(6) If the PMS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal. AA. Air Data System Interface
