C. Procedure
(1)
Make sure these circuit breakers are open with DO-NOT-CLOSE tags attached:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel 1) WEA RAD RIT No. 1 on 115V AC essential radio bus 2) WEA RAD RIT No. 2 on 115V AC radio bus No. 2
(2)
Remove dust caps from the waveguide flanges on the antenna drive assembly and the planar array.
(3)
Install the antenna drive assembly:
WARNING: USE TWO PERSONS AND A SAFELY INSTALLED WORKSTAND DURING
_______ THE INSTALLATION OF THE DRIVE ASSEMBLY. THE DRIVE ASSEMBLY WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 18 POUNDS.
BE CAREFUL WITH THE DRIVE ASSEMBLY DURING INSTALLTION. CAREFULLY INSTALL THE DRIVE ASSEMBLY TO PREVENT INJURY TO YOU OR DAMAGE TO THE DRIVE ASSEMBLY.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE A GOOD GASKET IS INSTALLED BETWEEN THE WAVEGUIDE
_______ FLANGES. A DAMAGED GASKET OR NO GASKET WILL POSSIBLY CAUSE ANTENNA DAMAGE.
(a)
Put the antenna drive on the two top mount bolts onthe antenna.
(b)
Put the two lower bolts and washers through the antenna and the mount.
(c)
Tighten each of the four mount bolts between 220-245 inch pounds.
(d)
Install screws and washers in the waveguide flanges of the drive assembly and waveguide Section 1.
(e)
Connect the electrical connector DB143A to the antenna connector J1.
(f)
Connect the electrical connector DB143B to the antenna connector J2.
(4)
Install the planar array (AMM 34-43-03/401).
(5)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel 1) WEA RAD RIT No. 1 on 115V AC essential radio bus 2) WEA RAD RIT No. 2 on 115V AC radio bus No. 2
(6)
Do the weather radar operational test (AMM 34-43-00/501).
(7)
Do the Antenna Tilt Test in the Weather Radar System - Adjustment Test (AMM 34-43-00/501).
(8)
Do the Stabilization Test in the Weather Radar System -Adjustment/Test (AMM 34-43-00/501).
(9)
If electrical power is not necessary; Remove electrical power: Manual Control (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(10)
Close the nose radom (AMM34-43-03/401).

Install the antenna pedestal:
WARNING: DURING AN ANTENNA PEDESTAL INSTALLATION, USE TWO PERSONS
_______ AND A SAFELY INSTALLED WORKSTAND. THE ANTENNA PEDESTAL WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 20 POUNDS.
BE CAREFUL WITH THE PEDESTAL DURING INSTALLATION. CAREFULLY INSTALL THE ANTENNA PEDESTAL TO PREVENT INJURY TO YOU OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ANTENNA PEDESTAL.
CAUTION: OBEY THE NO-HANDHOLD PLACARD ON THE ANTENNA PEDESTAL
_______ WAVEGUIDE. DAMAGE TO THE ANTENNA WILL OCCUR WHEN THE PEDESTAL WAVEGUIDE IS USED TO HOLD THE ANTENNA.
(4) Install the antenna pedestal.
CAUTION: AIRPLANES WITH COLLINS WEATHER RADAR;
_______ OBEY THE NO-HANDHOLD PLACARD ON THE ANTENNA PEDESTAL WAVEGUIDE. DAMAGE TO THE ANTENNA WILL OCCUR WHEN THE PEDESTAL WAVEGUIDE IS USED TO HOLD THE ANTENNA.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE A GOOD GASKET IS INSTALLED BETWEEN THE WAVEGUIDE
