ENGINE RATING I and II keys: Legends illuminated green.

LIMIT MODE keys: Center bar illuminated white on all six keys.

DERATE display: All segments and decimal points (.8.8) illuminated white.

Release the LSP TEST button.
(3)
Observe the background lighting on the slew keys and on the top position of each LIMIT MODE key. Verify that the keys are evenly illuminated (slew keys white, LIMIT MODE keys blue) when observed under night conditions (or suitably covered to shade ambient light).
C. Restore Airplane to Normal
(1)
If the PMS is no longer required, open all PMS circuit breakers.
(2)
Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-00).
(3)
Remove equipment cooling if no longer required (Ref 21-58-00).

PMS LIMIT SELECT PANEL - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. The PMS limit select panel (LSP) is located on the flight deck in the aft control stand electronics panel (P8). The unit is held in place by four quick-release fasteners and has one electrical cable attached to the rear panel through a connector.
2. Remove LSP
__________
A. Open PMS LSP circuit breaker on P7 panel.
B. Loosen four quick-release fasteners.
C. Carefully pull LSP from panel.
D. Remove electrical connector attached to rear of LSP.
E. Remove ENGINE RATING I and II key lens caps from panel (Ref 34-62-02, Servicing [Relamping]). Retain in airplane to install on new panel.
CAUTION: TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO LIMIT SELECT PANEL ENGINE RATING I AND II
_______ KEYS, REPLACE THE JUST REMOVED LENS CAPS WITH BLANK CAPS.
3. Install LSP
___________
A. Install applicable ENGINE RATING I and II key lens caps on panel (Ref 34-62-02, Servicing [Relamping]).
B. Connect electrical connector to rear of LSP.
C. Ensure the LSP is positioned correctly and place LSP in panel.
D. Secure four quick-release fasteners.
E. Close PMS LSP circuit breaker on P7 panel.
F. Test Limit Select Panel (Ref 34-62-02, PMS Limit Select Panel -Adjustment/Test).

PMS LIMIT SELECT PANEL - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General
_______
A. This procedure tests the PMS limit select panel (LSP). The test is designed to verify that a replaced PMS LSP has been properly installed and will operate. If the integrity of the total performance management system is in doubt, perform Performance Management System -Adjustment/Test (Ref 34-62-00).
2. Referenced Procedures

A. 24-22-00, Manual Control (Apply Power)
B. 33-11-00, Pilots Panel Lights
3. Prepare for Test
________________
A. Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-00).
B. Check for proper operation of pilot's panel illumination, indicator lamps, and annunciator lights using master test and dim control (Ref 33-11-00).
C. Ensure the PMS LSP circuit breaker(P7) is closed.
4. Test PMS Limit Select Panel

A. Press and hold the TEST button on the LSP. Verify that the following are illuminated on the LSP:
(1)
ENGINE RATING I and II keys: legends illuminated green.
(2)
LIMIT MODE keys: center bar illuminated white on all six keys.
(3)
DERATE display: all segments and decimal points (.8.8) illuminate white.
B. Release the LSP TEST button.
5. Restore Airplane to Normal

A. Open the PMS LSP circuit breaker(P7).
B. Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-00).
