Install display panel.
(a)
Connect two connectors on display assembly to mating connectors on interconnect assembly.
(b)
Set display assembly, with nut plate and baffle in place, in position in the case and secure loosely with six flat head screws.
(c)
Move display assembly to its maximum limit to rear of case.
(d)
Place front panel on case and secure with four flat head screws.
(e)
Align display assembly in front panel opening.
(f)
Adjust display assembly forward at ports "A" and "B" so LED devices touch and are flush with window.
(g)
Tighten display assembly mounting screws.
(h)
Check freedom of three line select annunciator switches. If any switches are sticking, loosen display assembly screws, realign, and tighten screws.
(i)
Remove front panel from case.
(3)
Install front panel.

(a)
Connect connector from front panel to mating connector from harness assembly.
(b)
Position front panel on case and secure with four flat head screws.
(c)
Press all key switches to ensure freedom of action. If any switches are sticking, loosen screws on display or key switch assemblies, realign, and retighten screws.
(4)
Install CDU in panel.
(a)
Ensure CDU's right way up and place in panel.
(b)
Secure four quick release fasteners.
(5)
Close PMS CDU circuit breaker on P7 panel.
11. Test CDU Lamps

A. Prepare for Test
(1)
Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-00).
(2)
Close PMS CDU circuit breaker on P7 panel.
B. Test CDU Lamps
(1)
Press and hold TEST pushbutton on PMS CDU.
(2)
Observe the following occurs:
(a)
All lamps and annunciators on PMS CDU front panel illuminate.
(b)
All character locations sequentially illuminate LED's in display assembly.
(3)
While still holding TEST pushbutton, press in sequence each key and observe alphanumeric character assigned to key appears on LED display.
(4)
Release TEST pushbutton.
C. Return Airplane to Normal
(1) If no longer required, remove external power.

PMS CONTROL DISPLAY UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. The PMS control display unit (CDU) is located in the flight deck on the forward control stand electronics panel (P9). The unit is held in place by four quick-release fasteners and has one electrical cable attached to the rear panel through a connector.
2. Remove CDU

A. Open PMS CDU circuit breaker on P7 panel.
B. Loosen four quick-release fasteners.
C. Carefully pull CDU from panel.
D. Remove electrical connector attached to rear of CDU.
3. Install CDU
___________
A. Connect electrical connector to rear of CDU.
B. Ensure CDU is right way up and place CDU in panel.
C. Secure four quick realease fasteners.
D. Close PMS CDU circuit breaker on P7 panel.
E. Test CDU (Ref 34-62-01 PMS Control Display Unit - Adjustment/Test.

PMS CONTROL DISPLAY UNIT - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General
_______
A. This procedure tests the PMS control display unit (CDU). The test is designed to verify that a replaced PMS CDU has been properly installed and will operate. If the integrity of the total performance management system is in doubt, perform Performance Management System -Adjustment/Test (Ref 34-62-00).
B. Proper completion of this test requires the following systems or components be operational during the test.
