WARNING:_______USE A REGULATED PRESSURE SOURCE TO SERVICE THE TIRES. AN UNREGULATED PRESSURE SOURCE CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
 (2)
Inflate the tire with nitrogen to the pressure shown in Fig. 301.

Remove the tire inflation tool.

 H. Fill the Tire Again
 S 493-008
 (1)  Install the tire inflation tool (refer to the instructions on the tool).
NOTE:  If you find that the oxygen content will be more than 5% by
____ volume (in the steps that follow where you fill the tire with air), deflate the tire to one atmosphere and do the initial fill procedure.

WARNING:_______USE A REGULATED PRESSURE SOURCE TO SERVICE THE TIRES. AN UNREGULATED PRESSURE SOURCE CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  Fill (top-off) the tire with nitrogen.
NOTE:  Air can be used when nitrogen is not available if the oxygen
____ content in the tire will not be more than 5% by volume. To make sure the oxygen content will not be more than 5%, use one of the procedures that follow.
 (a)  Procedure 1: Make a record of each time you fill the tire with air.
NOTE:  If the tire has lowest loaded tire pressure of the lowest weight airplane, the sum of all the air pressures that were added to the tire must not be more than 16 psi.
EXAMPLE: You can add one 6 psi and one time 10 psi of air
_______ before the tire must be deflated and inflated with nitrogen.

 (b)  Procedure 2: Make a record of each time you fill the tire with air.
NOTE: If you know the loaded inflation pressure of the tire,
____ the sum of all the air pressures added to the tire must not be more than the maximum given in Fig. 302.
EXAMPLE: Assume the tire is initially inflated to 165 psi with
_______ nitrogen. The sum of all the air pressures that can be added to the tire is 30 psi. The tire can be filled with one 6 psi, one 14 psi, and two 5 psi of air (before the tire must be deflated and inflated with nitrogen).

 TASK 12-15-51-613-018
 3.  Main Landing Gear and Nose Gear Hot Tire Pressure check_______________________________________________________
 A. General
 (1)
The intent of this task is to provide a method to check tire pressures prior to a two hour cool down of the tires, or for pressure checks subsequent to the required daily pressure check.

 (2)
It is recommended that you check the tire pressure after you let the tires cool for a minimum of two hours since the airplane landed.

 (3)
If it is not possible to wait the recommended two hours for the tires to cool down before the airplane is dispatched, you can use this task as an alternative inspection just prior to dispatch.
