 NOTE: If you do not have 115-volt ac power, you can do the____
 refuel operation with electrical power from the airplane
 battery.

 (5)  If it is necessary, supply electrical power from the airplane
 battery:
 (a) Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
 1) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 a) INVERTER PWR
 b) INVERTER CONT
 c) BAT BUS CONT MANUAL
 (b) Set the battery switch to ON.
 (c) Set the standby power switch to BAT.
 NOTE: This procedure operates the static inverter and____
 supplies the necessary AC voltage to operate the full
 refuel system with its usual functions. This includes
 the fuel gages and the fuel shutoff system. The only
 limit during this type of operation is the battery life.
 Complete the refuel operation as soon as it is possible.
 This procedure keeps a maximum quantity of power in the
 battery. A fully charged battery can operate the refuel
 system for 15 to 20 minutes without a problem.

 (6)  Open the access door, 6540, for the refuel station (Fig. 301).

 (7)  Make sure the refuel quantity indicators operate correctly.
 (a) Hold the gage test switch in the TEST GAGE position.
 (b) Look for a change in the value on the indicators to make sure
 the indicators operate correctly.
 (c) Release the switches.
 (d) Make sure the value on the indicator goes back to the initial
 value.

 (8)  Push the position lights for the refuel valve to make sure they
 operate correctly.

 (9)  Connect the fuel hose to the refuel receptacle adapter:
 (a) Remove the refuel receptacle caps.
 (b) Make sure there are no fuel leaks.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE REFUEL RECEPTACLE ADAPTER IS CLEAN AND NOT_______
 DAMAGED. A DAMAGED ADAPTER CAN CAUSE A FUEL LEAK. A FUEL
 LEAK CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (c) Make sure the refuel receptacle adapter is clean and not
 damaged (AMM 28-21-00/501).
 (d) Connect the refuel nozzle to the refuel receptacles.

 CAUTION: DO NOT HAVE MORE THAN 55 PSI OF FUEL PRESSURE AT THE REFUEL
_______ NOZZLE. A PRESSURE OF MORE THAN 55 PSI COULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE REFUEL SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
 (10) Maintain a maximum pressure of 55 psi.

 (11) If you are scheduled to fill the tanks fully, do these steps:
 NOTE: Make sure the airplane has a ground attitude of
____ 0.15° | 0.25° nose down and 0° | 0.25° degree roll. This permits you to put the maximum quantity of fuel in the tanks.
 (a)  Set all of the refuel valve switches to the OPEN position.
 CAUTION: DO NOT TRY TO PUT MORE FUEL INTO THE TANK AFTER THE REFUEL
_______ OPERATION STOPS AUTOMATICALLY. UNWANTED FUEL WILL FLOW ON THE GROUND.
 (b)  Start fuel truck pump and put fuel into the tank or tanks until truck flowmeter shows no fuel flow.
 NOTE: The float switch in each fuel tank closes each
____ refuel shutoff valve when each tank is fully filled.
 (c)  
Set all of the refuel valve switches to the CLOSE position.

 (d)  
Stop the fuel truck pump.

 NOTE: Immediately after refueling, the fuel quantity shown
