WARNING:_______DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN. USE ENGINE OIL IN AREA WITH GOOD VENTILATION. ENGINE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN BE ABSORBED THROUGH YOUR SKIN. ENGINE OIL FUMES CAN IRRITATE YOUR RESPIRATORY TRACT.
CAUTION: DO NOT LET ALKALINE CLEANING FLUID GET INTO THE ENGINE OIL.
_______ VERY SMALL QUANTITIES OF THIS FLUID CAN CHANGE THE ENGINE OIL. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

Obey the above warning and caution through all this procedure.

Open the right and left fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE FILLER CAP FOR THE OIL TANK FOR FIVE MINUTES
_______ AFTER AN ENGINE SHUTDOWN. IF THE CHECK VALVE IS DEFECTIVE, HOT OIL CAN COME OUT FROM THE OIL TANK AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS. THE OIL IN THE TANK IS HOT AND PRESSURIZED DURING ENGINE OPERATION.
IF YOU TOUCH THE OIL, YOU MUST FULLY CLEAN YOUR SKIN. OIL SOAKED CLOTHES MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. IF THE OIL TOUCHES YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME, IT COULD CAUSE DERMATITIS.
CAUTION:_______IMMEDIATELY CLEAN THE PAINTED SURFACES ON WHICH OIL FALLS. THE OIL WILL PUT STAINS ON CLOTHES AND CAN MAKE PAINT SOFT.
(3) Drain the oil tank (Fig. 303).
(a)
Put a 6 gallon (23 liter) container below the drain port for the oil tank.
(b)
Remove the drain plug from the oil tank:
1) ENGINES WITH CFMI SB 79-057 (ENGINES WITHOUT THE MAGNETIC DRAIN PLUG); Remove the drain plug from the oil tank. a) Let the oil drain into the container. b) Remove and discard the O-ring from the drain plug. c) Lubricate a new O-ring with clean engine oil. d) Install the new O-ring on the drain plug. e) Install the drain plug into the oil tank. f) Tighten the drain plug to a torque of 360 to 400
pound-inch (40 to 45 Nm).
g) Install lockwire.
