1) Catch the oil that flows from the oil overfill port in a container.
(b) 2) Let the oil drain from the oil overfill port until the flow slows and falls in drops.ENGINE STARTERS WITH THE OIL LEVEL VIEW GLASS; Add the oil through the fill port until you see the oil full in the view glass.
NOTE:____ The capacity of the oil sump in the starter is 23.3 fluid ounces (700 cc).
(c) (d) (e) If you use a different approved oil of the same type (AMM 70-10-01/201), it is not necessary to flush the starter sump.If you use an approved oil of a different type, you must drain and flush the starter sump, then drain it again with a quart (liter) of the new oil, before you fill the starter sump.If you accidentally use an oil that is not approved, you must drain and flush the starter sump, then drain it again with a quart (liter) of the new oil, before you continue.

1. General_______
A. This procedure has one task. The task gives instructions to do a check of the oil level in the air cycle machine. The task also gives instructions to add oil to the air cycle machine if it is necessary.

Open the access doors to the air conditioning bay to get access to the air cycle machine.

Look through the sight glass on the air cycle machine to examine the oil level.
(3)
Make sure the oil level in the sight glass is three-fourths full.
