Use the procedures in the Power Supply - Battery Pack Replacement (AMM 33-51-51/201) task to remove the emergency light batteries.
(b)
ON AIRPLANES WITH AN APU BATTERY; Do this task: Storage Battery - The Removal of the Battery (AMM 24-31-11/201).
(c)
Do this task: Storage Battery - The Removal of the Battery (AMM 24-31-11/201).
(d)
Put all batteries in a warm location where the temperature remains above 50°F (10°C).

(12) If you need to tow the airplane, do these steps:
(a)
Install the main battery (AMM 24-31-11/201).
(b)
AIRPLANES WITH FORWARD AIRSTAIR; Do these steps when the airstair is put in the stowed position:
CAUTION: REMOVE ALL ICE AND SNOW FROM THE AIRSTAIRS BEFORE YOU STOW
_______ THE AIRSTAIR IN THE FUSELAGE. ICE AND SHOW WILL MELT INSIDE THE FUSELAGE AND CAN DRAIN ONTO THE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT.
1) Remove all ice and snow from the airstair before it is moved to the stowed position.
2) After the airstair is in the stowed postion, do these steps: a) Get access to the airstair through the Electronic
Equipment Access Door, 1201L. b) Check for water on the drip shields and around the electronic equipment. c) Remove all water on the drip shields and around electronic equipment. d) Go out of the Electronic Equipment Bay and close the Electronic Equipment Access Door, 1201L.
