NOTE: The weight of the airplane must be different from the

(b) If the point falls on the servicing band, the fluid level is in the correct operating range. 1) If the point falls to the left of the servicing band, the
fluid level is low.
a) Add fluid (refer to paragraphs 2 or 3).
b) If it is necessary to add one quart or more to fill the
strut, find the source of the leakage and repair it. 2) If the point falls to right of the servicing band, fluid level is high.
NOTE: Too much (high) fluid level is caused by a prior

A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task does the servicing of the shock strut for the nose landing gear. The second task does a check of the fluid level for the shock strut of the nose landing gear.

2. Nose Landing Gear Shock Strut Servicing (Fig. 301)

A. General
(1) This task changes the hydraulic fluid in the nose gear shock strut. This task also gives you the option to service the shock strut with the airplane lifted on jacks.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THE GROUND LOCK PINS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL THE LANDING
_______ GEAR. WITHOUT THE GROUND LOCK PINS, THE LANDING COULD RETRACT AND CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) If the groundlock pins are not installed on all the landing gear, do this task: Install the ground lock assemblies (AMM 32-00-01/201).
