Obey the above warning and caution throughout this procedure.

Change the engine oil.
NOTE: Keep the old o-rings, they can be used while you flush the
____ system. Half of the oil tank capacity is a sufficient quantity of oil to flush the oil system.

(3) Operate the engine at low idle for ten minutes then stop (AMM 71-00-00/201).

WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE FILLER CAP FOR THE OIL TANK FOR FIVE MINUTES
_______ AFTER AN ENGINE SHUTDOWN. IF THE CHECK VALVE IS DEFECTIVE, HOT OIL CAN COME OUT FROM THE OIL TANK AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS. THE OIL IN THE TANK IS HOT AND PRESSURIZED DURING ENGINE OPERATION.
IF YOU TOUCH THE OIL, YOU MUST FULLY CLEAN YOUR SKIN. OIL SOAKED CLOTHES MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. IF THE OIL TOUCHES YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME, IT COULD CAUSE DERMATITIS.
CAUTION:_______IMMEDIATELY CLEAN THE PAINTED SURFACES ON WHICH OIL FALLS. THE OIL WILL PUT STAINS ON CLOTHES AND CAN MAKE PAINT SOFT.
(4) Change the engine oil.
(a)
Do a check of the magnetic chip detectors for unusual metal particles (AMM 79-00-00/601). 1) If you find unusual particles, replace the engine
(AMM 71-00-02/401).
(b)
Replace the oil supply and scavenge oil filter elements (AMM 79-21-03/401 and 79-21-04/401).

(5) S 863-047Operate the engine at low idle for ten minutes, then stop the engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).
(6) S 203-048Do a check of the oil for fuel. (a) If you smell fuel, replace the oil/fuel heat exchanger and the servo fuel heater (AMM 79-21-02/401).
(7) S 163-049Remove, clean and install the MCD's (AMM 79-21-05/201).
(8) S 213-050Do a check of the oil supply and the filter element of the scavenge oil. (a) Replace the filter, if it is necessary (AMM 79-21-03/401 and 79-21-04/401).
(9) S 613-051Fill the engine oil system.

CONSTANT SPEED DRIVE - SERVICING

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains these tasks:
(1)
CSD Oil Level Check.
(2)
Drain the Oil from the CSD.
(3)
Fill the CSD with Oil.
(4)
Drain the Oil from the Spline Cavity.
(5)
Fill the Spline Cavity with Oil.
B. A sight glass on the CSD shows the oil level in the CSD oil system. A standpipe on the accessory gearbox on each engine shows the oil level in the spline cavity. When there is too much oil, the oil comes out of the standpipe.
C. The oil quantity of the CSD is 10.7 pints. The oil quantity of the external system is 2.75 pints. The total oil quantity for a dry CSD oil system is 13.45 pints for each engine.
D. The oil quantity of the spline cavity is 2 pints.
