2) ENGINES PRE CFMI SB 79-057 (ENGINES WITH THE SELF-LOCKING MAGNETIC DRAIN PLUG); Remove the magnetic drain plug from the oil tank. a) Push the magnetic drain plug in while you turn it
counterclockwise to disengage the locking pins. b) Pull the drain plug down and remove it from the tank. c) Remove and discard the o-ring.
(c)
Install the oil drain adapter. 1) Put the oil drain adapter into the drain port of the oil tank. 2) Push the adapter up while you turn it clockwise to lock it
into its position.
3) Let the oil drain.
(d)
Remove the oil drain adapter. 1) Push the adapter in while you turn it counterclockwise. 2) Pull the adapter down and remove it.

(4) After the oil has drained, remove the filler cap of the oil tank.

CAUTION:_______DO NOT MIX TYPE 1 AND TYPE 2 OILS. DO NOT DO OIL SERVICING WITH BRANDS THAT ARE NOT APPROVED. FLUSH AND CHANGE THE OIL SYSTEM IMMEDIATELY WITH THE CORRECT ENGINE OIL IF ONE OF THE ERRORS THAT FOLLOWS OCCURS:

IF 10 PERCENT OR MORE OF A DIFFERENT OIL TYPE WAS USED.

IF 10 PERCENT OR MORE OF A NON-APPROVED OIL WAS USED.
(5) Add engine oil to the tank.
NOTE: A change in the oil temperature of 140°F (60°C) can increase
____ the oil volume (due to thermal expansion) by approximately
0.8 quarts (0.77 liters).
(a) If non-approved oils or different oil types have been added to the engine oil, follow these steps: 1) If the quantity is less than 10 percent (2 quarts or less),
no action is necessary.

2) If the quantity is more than 10 percent (2 quarts or more), you must drain and replenish the oil tank before the next flight.

(a) Do a check that the groove in the drain plug is clean.
CAUTION: DO NOT INSTALL A MAGNETIC DRAIN PLUG WITHOUT AN O-RING.
_______ THE INSTALLATION OF A MAGNETIC DRAIN PLUG WITHOUT AN O-RING CAN CAUSE OIL LEAKAGE DURING ENGINE OPERATION, AND A POSSIBLE ENGINE FAILURE.
(b)
Lubricate a new o-ring with engine oil.
(c)
Install the o-ring on the magnetic drain plug.
(d)
Put the drain plug carefully into the drain port of the oil tank.
NOTE: Do not damage the o-ring.

(e)
Push the plug in and turn it clockwise until the locking pins are fully engaged.
(f)
Pull down on the magnetic drain plug.
NOTE: The plug will not pull out from the tank if it is
____
correctly installed.

Do a check of the plug installation for leaks.

Drain the accessory gearbox (Fig. 304).
(a)
Remove the drain plug of the accessory gearbox. 1) Discard the o-ring. 2) Let the oil drain into a one gallon (5 liter) container.
(b)
Do a check that the groove in the gearbox drain plug is clean.
(c)
Lubricate a new o-ring with engine oil.
