 WARNING:_______DO NOT TOUCH THE OIL SYSTEM PARTS WHEN THEY ARE HOT. THESE PARTS STAY HOTTER THAN THE OTHER ENGINE PARTS AFTER AN ENGINE SHUTDOWN. OIL SYSTEM PARTS THAT ARE HOT CAN BURN YOU.
 DO NOT LET THE OIL TOUCH YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. YOU CAN ABSORB POISONOUS MATERIALS FROM THE OIL THROUGH YOUR SKIN. OIL ON YOUR SKIN CAN CAUSE DERMATITIS AFTER A LONG TIME.
 (2) Remove the cap from the case pressure-fill valve.

 (3)  Connect the coupling to the case pressure-fill valve.

 CAUTION: DO NOT USE MORE THAN 40 PSIG TO FILL THE GENERATOR DRIVE WITH
_______ OIL. TOO MUCH PRESSURE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE GENERATOR DRIVE.
 (4)  Set the pressure from the service cart to 5-40 psig.

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT PUT TOO MUCH OIL INTO THE GENERATOR DRIVE. TOO MUCH OIL WILL CAUSE THE GENERATOR DRIVE TO BECOME TOO HOT AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE GENERATOR DRIVE.
 IF YOU MOTOR THE ENGINE, DO NOT ADD OIL AGAIN. AFTER YOU MOTOR THE ENGINE, SOME OF THE OIL WILL STAY IN THE CSD RESERVOIR. THIS MAKES THE SIGHT GLASS SHOW AN OIL LEVEL THAT IS TOO LOW AND NOT ACCURATE. YOU MUST OPERATE THE ENGINE AT AN IDLE TO GET AN OIL LEVEL INDICATION THAT IS ACCURATE.
 (5)  Fill the CSD until the oil level increases to the bottom of the applicable range on the sight glass.
 NOTE: The oil level will increase when the CSD becomes warm.

 (a)  Stop for five minutes.
 NOTE: The time will let the oil level become stable.

Look at the oil level in the sight glass on the CSD.

 (a)  
If the oil level is below the bottom of the applicable range, add oil to the CSD.

 (b)  
If the oil level is above the top of the applicable range, drain some of the oil from the CSD (Ref "Drain the Oil From the CSD" task).

 

 (7)  
Remove the coupling from the case pressure-fill valve.

 D. Drain the Oil from the Spline Cavity

Open the left fan cowl on the applicable engine if it is not open (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Push the vent valve cap on the top of the CSD to remove the internal pressure.
