(5) Remove the filler cap with the dipstick from the filler port for the oil tank.

WARNING:_______DO NOT LET THE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN. YOU CAN ABSORB POISONOUS MATERIALS FROM THE OIL THROUGH YOUR SKIN.
CAUTION: DO NOT LET OIL GET ON THE ENGINE OR OTHER COMPONENTS.
_______ IMMEDIATELY CLEAN THE OIL WHEN IT FALLS ON THEM. OIL CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO PAINT AND RUBBER.
(6) Examine the oil dipstick for an indication of the oil level.

CAUTION: DO NOT MIX THE TWO TYPES OF OIL (MIL-PRF-7808 TYPE I AND
_______ MIL-PRF-23699 TYPE II) WHEN YOU ADD THE OIL IN THE APU. IT IS PERMITTED TO MIX DIFFERENT BRANDS OF OIL WITH THE SAME TYPE OF OIL WHEN YOU ADD THE OIL IN THE APU. A MIXTURE OF THE TWO TYPES OF OIL IN THE APU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE APU.
CAUTION: DO NOT LET ALKALINE CLEANING FLUIDS OR HYDRAULIC FLUID TOUCH
_______ THE APU OIL. VERY SMALL QUANTITIES OF THESE FLUIDS CAN CAUSE THE OIL TO CHEMICALLY CHANGE. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE APU.

Add the oil to the APU oil tank until the oil level is at the FULL mark on the dipstick.

Install the filler cap with the dipstick in the filler port for the oil tank.

Close the oil filler door for the APU.

CAUTION: KEEP A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 0.18 INCHES (5 MM) BETWEEN THE
_______ ENGINE, FIRE DETECTOR, CLAMPS AND LOWER SHROUD.
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(10) Install the lower shroud:
(a)
Hold the lower shroud against the upper shroud.
(b)
Close the shroud latches.

(11) Close the APU cowl door:
(a)
Disconnect the door support rods.
(b)
Put the door support rods in the clips on the APU cowl door.
(c)
Close the APU cowl door.
(d)
Close the latches for the APU cowl door.

(12) Set the circuit breaker and the switch:
(a)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit
(b)
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.

ENGINE STARTER - SERVICING

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this section:
-Drain the oil from the engine starter
-Fill the engine starter with oil.
B. When you change the oil in the starter, you must drain and fill the starter sump with oil.
C. You can add an approved oil type to fill the sump when it is necessary until the subsequent scheduled oil change.
D. The starter is found on the forward side of the accessory gear box at the 9 o'clock position on the fan case.
E. To get access to the engine starter, it is necessary to open the left fan cowl panel.
