APPLY A LARGER AMOUNT OF GREASE TO ALL THE WEAR SURFACES OF THE FLAP TRACKS, FOREFLAP TRACKS, AFTFLAP TRACKS, AND SEQUENCE CARRIAGE TRACKS.
THE LUBRICATION FITTING IS INSTALLED IN THE THREADED END OF THE CAM FOLLOWERS.
LUBRICATE THE ROLLER ASSEMBLY THROUGH THE FITTING IN THE BOLT END.
_______ DO NOT LOOSEN OR REMOVE THE CASTELLATED NUT IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU LUBRICATE. YOU WILL
CAUTION: MOVE THE SEAL PLATES IN AN OUTWARD DIRECTION.
CAUTION: ON SEALED BEARINGS, DO NOT APPLY GREASE WITH A PRESSURE MORE THAN 1000 PSI AND AT A RATE MORE THAN 0.25 LITER PER MINUTE. WHEN YOU USE A HAND-OPERATED GREASE GUN, DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION HANDLE. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO SEALED BEARINGS WITH TOO MUCH PRESSURE.
NOTE:TURN THE ROLLER SLOWLY DURING LUBRICATION.
ON SEALED BEARING, LUBRICATE THE BEARING UNTIL A SMALL AMOUNT OF GREASE CAN BE SEEN AROUND THE EDGE OF THE END PLATE. GREASE WILL NOT FLOW OUT OF THIS BEARING IN LARGE AMOUNTS, SUCH AS YOU SEE ON UNSEALED BEARINGS. THE BEARING CAN BE DIFFICULT TO MOVE BY HAND BECAUSE OF INTERNAL PRESSURE, WHICH WILL DECREASE IN APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES. TO DECREASE PRESSURE IMMEDIATELY, PUT A SHORT INSTRUMENT INTO THE LUBE FITTING TO UNSEAT THE SPRING-LOADED CHECK BALL.
