Turn the switch plunger two more turns counterclockwise to get sufficient overtravel.

 (e)  
Do a test of the warning switch on the upper deck crew service door. 1) Close and latch the door. 2) See that the message DOOR R UPR DK does not show on EICAS. 3) Open the door. 4) See that the message DOOR R UPR DK shows on EICAS. 5) Close and latch the door.

 (f)  
Do these steps to put the sealant on the terminals of the switch (Fig. 402): 1) Apply the primer to the switch terminals and let it dry.


 CAUTION: DO NOT PUT THE SEALANT ON THE PLUNGER SPRING OR IN
_______ THE MECHANISM OF THE SWITCH. THE SEALANT CAN MAKE THE SWITCH OPERATE INCORRECTLY IF IT IS IN THE SWITCH MECHANISM.
 2) Apply the sealant to the switch terminals and contacts.

 (1)
Open the door if it is necessary to get access to the switch.

 S 424-135

 (2)  
Install a door closed switch.


 NOTE:____There are two door closed switches on the door. The procedure to install them is the same.
 (a)  
Remove the locknut, lockwasher and key washer from the switch.

 (b)  
Remove the bar from the center of the bracket.

 (c)  
Put the switch in the bar.

 (d)  
Install the key washer, lock washer and locknut.

 (e)  
Tighten the locknut.


 NOTE: The body of the switch will contact the bar.

 (f)  
Put lockwire on the locknut.

 (g)  
Install the bar in the bracket.

 (h)  
Connect the wiring on the switch to the airplane wiring at the appropriate connector.

 (i)  
Close the door.

 (j)  See that the green CLOSED light on the Nose Cargo Door Closed annunciator panel is ON.

 (3)  Install a latch switch.
 NOTE:____There is one latch switch for each latch actuator. There are sixteen latch switches in all.
 (a)  
Remove the locknut, lockwasher and key washer from the switch.

 (b)  
Put the switch in the latch fitting.

 (c)  
Install the key washer, lock washer and locknut.

 (d)  
Tighten the locknut.


 NOTE: The body of the switch will contact the latch fitting.

 (e)  
Put lockwire on the locknut.

 (f)  
Connect the wiring on the switch to the airplane wiring at the appropriate connector.

 (g)  
Close the door.

 (h)  
See that the green LATCHED light on the Door Latched annunciator panel is ON.
