MAINTENANCE MANUAL
(b)
To open the door manually from the inside, the internal trigger is rotated aft to release the handle and a downward force is applied at spring retainer.
(c)
Opening of the door by a pressure differential acting on the door is accomplished when the pressure inside is 0.75 to 1.25 psi greater than outside. The cantilevered roller latches are rotated by the pressure exerted at these points. Rotation of the roller latches rotates the torque shaft which (when the blowout load reaches 220 pounds at each roller) overcomes the internal spring load on the latch and unlatches the door. With a blowout opening, the external latch remains closed and flush with the door.
B.
Control
(1)
Stabilizer Jackscrew Access Door (Fig. 5)
(a)
Open jackscrew access door manually from outside by depressing trigger and allowing latch handle to drop.
(b)
Grasp latch handle and rotate down approximately 90 degrees to withdraw rollers.
(c)
Rotate door open (down and forward) until upper and lower detents engage.
(d)
Open door manually from inside by rotating internal trigger aft and applying downward force to spring retainer.
(e)
To close access door, depress lower detent and rotate door closed (upper detent will be released as door closes).
(f)
Rotate latch handle to closed (flush) position engaging rollers and trigger.
