A. General
(1)
There are two alternatives to remove the door.
(a)
You can remove the hinge pins to remove the door.
(b)
You can remove the bolts that hold the hinge to the structure to remove the door.

Open the door.

Remove the door.
(a)
Remove the bolt that holds the stay brace to the door (Detail B).
(b)
Remove the hinge pins to remove the door (ALTERNATIVE).

1) Remove the retainer from the center of the hinge (Detail C).

2) Remove the hinge pins while you hold the door. 3) Remove the door from the airplane.
(c) Remove the hinge bolts to remove the door (ALTERNATIVE). 1) Remove the bolts that go through the skin into the nutplates on the hinge half. 2) Remove the bolts that go through the hinge half into the
nutplates on the structure. 3) Remove the special bolts from the ends of the hinge half. 4) Move the hinge half and the door away from the structure.

Install the door.
(a)
Use the hinge pins to install the door if you used them to remove the door. 1) Move the door until the hinge half on the door is in the
hinge half on the fuselage. 2) Put the long hinge pin in the forward hinge segment. 3) Put the short hinge pin in the aft hinge segment. 4) Install the retainer on the hinge.
(b)
Use the hinge bolts to install the door if you used them to remove the door. 1) Move the door until the hinge is in the correct location in
