1) Remove the bolt that holds the push rod to the latch probe.
2) Release the spring from the latch probe.
3) Pull the latch probe out of the fitting.

(6) Examine the bolt that attaches the snubber (Section B-B).
(a) Remove the bolt.
(b) Do the step that tells how to examine the wear limits.

(a) Measure the part at the points that are necessary.
(b) Compare the values you get to the correct values shown in
Fig 601.
(c) Obey the instructions in Fig. 601.

BULK CARGO DOOR BALANCE MECHANISM - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General

A. This procedure contains these tasks:
(1)
The removal of the balance mechanism from the bulk cargo door
(2)
The installation of the balance mechanism on the bulk cargo door.
(3)
a task to do a check of the bulk cargo door counterbalance
B.
The balance mechanism has a spring tube, a cable drum, and two cables. One cable is between the spring tube and the cable drum. One cable is between the cable drum and the door. There must be no tension on the cables when you remove the mechanism.
C.
The task to do a check of the bulk cargo door counterbalance is included in the tasks to remove and install the balance mechanism for the bulk cargo door. Thus, if you do the task to remove the balance mechanism or the task to install the balance mechanism, the it is not necessary to do the task to do a check of the bulk cargo door counterbalance.
