Procedure


 S 944-027
 (1)  
For the test equipmemt, make sure to set a distance 1.75 inches between the latch adapter fitting and the cylinder piston with the gauge block.

 (2)  
Put the maintenance stand below the door.

 (3)  
Open the door.

 S 864-017

 (4)  
Put the G52015 tool through the door opening.

Close the door.

 (6)  
Attach the G52015 tool to the door.

 (a)  
Put the pump on the fuselage.

 (b)  
Put the latch adapter fitting on the door latch.

 (c)  
Install the hooks in the cross bar on the latches.

 (d)  
Attach the cross bar and make sure the cylinder piston engages the cross bar at the notch.

 (e)  
Attach the cross bar ends to the hooks with screws.

 (f)  
Tighten the screws with your hand.

 WARNING:_______MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE SAFETY CORD. WHEN YOU DO THIS TEST THE DOOR WILL FALL OPEN. IF THE DOOR FALLS OPEN TOO FAR IT CAN PULL THE TOOL THROUGH THE DOOR OPENING. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE OR INJURY.

 (g)  
Install the safety cord between the door and the fuselage.


 S 754-020
 (7)  
Operate the pump to rotate the torque shaft of the latch mechanism.

 (a)
Look at the pressure limits recorded on the tool placard attached to the inner surface of the tool box top.

 (b)  
Monitor the pressure on the pump.

 (c)  
Do not put more than the highest pressure given on the tool placard on the pump.

 (8)  
Continue to operate the pump until the door falls open.

 (a)  
Make sure that the pressure at which the door opens is in the range recorded on the tool placard.

 Do the test two more times as follows:

 Adjust the rollers and the roller stops if the door does not fall open at the correct pressure:

 (a)  
Remove the G52015 tool from the door.

 (b)  
Make sure the door is fully closed and latched.

 (c)  
Measure the dimension between the center of the roller and the face of the roller stop (Section A-A).

 (d)  
Make sure the dimension is between 0.27 and 0.29 inch.

 (e)  
If it is necessary, get the correct dimension. 1) Open the door. 2) Remove the roller stop block. 3) Change the shims below the roller stop block to get the

 correct dimension.
 4) Install the roller stop block.


 (f)  
Adjust the roller stops (Section A-A). 1) Remove the roller stops. 2) Remove the washers from the roller stops. 3) Install the roller stops. 4) Close and latch the door. 5) Hold the door to align it with the fuselage. 6) Make a note of the clearance between a roller and the
