20% OF THE LENGTH OF THE AFT EDGE IS PERMITTED TO HAVE A FLUSHNESS +0.02 INCH (+0.50 mm) MORE THAN THE TOLERANCE SHOWN.
YOU CAN IGNORE THE STREAM WISE AREAS TO MAINTAIN THE FORWARD AND AFT EDGE TOLERANCES.
THE FLUSHNESS TOLERANCES ARE NOT APPLICABLE IN THE AREA OF THE CORNER DOUBLER.

Attach the hinge arms to the door with the eight washers, four bolts, and nuts.

 Use shims to get the correct flushness.

 Remove the sling and hoist.

 Adjust the bulk cargo door as follows:

 (a)  
Make sure the clearance in the latch fitting for the latch probe is 0.89 to 0.90 inch.

 (b)  
Install the forward and aft centering plates with the shims.

 (c)  
Adjust the laminated shims to get the necessary tolerance (View D, Fig. 401).

 (d)  
Loosely install the forward and aft latch fittings.

 (e)  
Do not tighten the latch fitting bolts.

 (f)  
Remove the latch probes from the latch probe fittings.

 (g)  
Make sure that the door handle is in the full closed position.

 (h)  
Adjust the vertical distance from the door frame web to the outer diameter of the latch probe roller (Fig. 402).

 (i)  
Use C-clamps to hold the four door stop pins in its position at the four corners.

 (j)  
Adjust each of the corner stop pins as necessary to get the correct door flushness for a simulated pressurized position (Fig. 404).

 (k)  
Make sure the four corner stop pins are in their positions with C-clamps.

 (l)  
Move the forward and aft latch fittings inboard until the two latch fittings touch the outboard surface of their probe (Fig. 402).

 (m)  
Tighten the latch fitting bolts to prevent movement.

 (n)  
Remove the C-clamps from all four corners of the door.

 (o)  
Let the door get to its usual position before pressurization.

 (p)  
Measure the door flushness before pressurization (Fig. 403).

 (q)  
Use C-clamps to hold the four corner stop pins to the corner stop pads.

 (r)  
Adjust all the remaining doorstop pins outboard to lightly touch the frame stop pads (View D, Fig. 401).

 (s)  
Open the door and adjust all the stop pins to their first possible alignment position.

 (t)  
Install the spring locks at all the positions (View D, Fig. 401).

 (u)  
Adjust the C-clamps in the door at the four corners and examine the clearances at all the stop pads (clearances must be from
