panel is off. 2) Open the master latch lock handle. 3) See that the green LATCHES CLOSED light comes on. 4) Move the latches to the not latched position.
NOTE: You can do this electrically or manually.

5) See that the green LATCHES CLOSED light goes off.
Completely open the forward (aft) cargo door.
See that the applicable caution message shows on EICAS:
1) DOOR FWD CARGO
2) DOOR AFT CARGO.
Do a test of the status messages:
1) Push the plunger on the door latched switch and hold for a
minimum of 60 seconds.
2) See that the applicable status message shows on EICAS:
NOTE:____ The status message shows after you hold the plunger
for more than one minute.
a) DOOR FWD CARGO
b) DOOR AFT CARGO.
3) Release the plunger on the door latched switch.
4) Erase the status message from EICAS.
5) Push the plunger on the door closed switch and hold for a minimum of 60 seconds.
6) See that the applicable status message shows on EICAS:
NOTE: The status message shows after you hold the plunger
____ for more than one minute.
a) DOOR FWD CARGO
b) DOOR AFT CARGO.

7) Release the plunger on the door closed switch.
8) Erase the status message on EICAS.
9) Push the plunger on the door warning switch and hold for a minimum of 60 seconds.
10) See that the applicable status message shows on EICAS:
NOTE: The status message shows after you hold the plunger

a) DOOR FWD CARGO
b) DOOR AFT CARGO.
11) Release the plunger on the door warning switch.
12) Erase the status message from EICAS.
13) Push and hold the plungers of the Door Warning Switch, the Door Latched Switch and the Door Closed Switches.
NOTE: During the subsequent steps you will release the
____ plunger of each switch individually. Continue to hold the plungers of the other two switches when the first switch plunger is released. This will do a test of the door latched, door closed and door warning circuits.
14) Release the plunger of the Door Latched Switch.
NOTE: This does a test of the door latched circuit.

15) See that the applicable caution message shows on EICAS. a) DOOR FWD CARGO b) DOOR AFT CARGO
16) Push and hold the plunger of the Door Latched Switch.
17) See that the applicable caution message does not show on EICAS. a) DOOR FWD CARGO b) DOOR AFT CARGO

20) Push and hold the plunger of the Door Closed Switch.
21) See that the applicable caution message does not show on EICAS. a) DOOR FWD CARGO b) DOOR AFT CARGO
22) Release the plunger of the Door Warning Switch.
NOTE: This does a test of the door warning circuit.

24) Push and hold the plunger of the Door Warning Switch.
25) See that the applicable caution message does not show on EICAS. a) DOOR FWD CARGO b) DOOR AFT CARGO
26) Release the plungers of the Door Latched, the Door Closed and the Door Warning Switches.

Close but do not lock the cargo compartment door.
(g)
Make sure the applicable caution message shows on EICAS: 1) DOOR FWD CARGO 2) DOOR AFT CARGO.
