2) Pull the actuator arm away from the switch plunger.
3) Adjust the switch to get the dimension shown in Detail H.
Adjust the door close switch.
1) Open the door approximately 10 degrees to get access to the switch.
2) Move the switch in its bracket to get the dimension shown in Detail J.
3) Disconnect the DX225E connector from the side cargo door equipment module.
4) Make sure there is continuity between pins 1 and 2 of the DX225E connector.
5) Connect the DX225E connector to the side cargo door equipment module.
Adjust the door latched switch on the side cargo door.
1) Move the switch in its bracket to get the dimension shown in Detail I.
2) Use a torque wrench to turn the latch actuator clockwise.
3) Monitor the torque you use to turn the actuator.
4) Turn the actuator until the torque increases 15 to 20 pound-inches.
NOTE: The actuator hits the internal stops at this point.

5) Make sure you can push in the plunger of the door latched switch.
6) Manually turn the latch actuator 18 turns counterclockwise.
7) Make sure the plunger on the door latched switch does not touch the striker on the latch torque tube.
8) Disconnect the DX225E connector from the side cargo door equipment module.
9) Make sure there is continuity between pins 3 and 4 on the DX225E connector.
10) Manually turn the latch actuator 4 turns clockwise.
11) Move the door latched switch in its bracket to make it operate at this point.

12) Make sure there is no continuity between pins 3 and 4 of
the DX225E connector when the switch operates. 13) Manually turn the latch actuator counterclockwise. 14) Monitor the torque you use to turn the latch actuator. 15) Continue to turn the latch actuator until the torque
increases 15-20 pound-inches.
NOTE: This is the point where the actuator hits

the internal stops.
16) Connect the DX225E connector to the side cargo door equipment module.
(d) Do a test of the warning system on the side cargo door. 1) Make sure the message DOOR SIDE CARGO shows on EICAS. 2) Close the door. 3) Make sure the message DOOR SIDE CARGO does not show on
EICAS.

Adjust the warning switch on the bulk cargo compartment door (Fig. 502).
(a)
Remove the switch from the bracket.
(b)
Adjust the switch to get the 0.75 inch dimension shown in Detail E.
(c)
Install the switch.
(d)
Close and lock the door.
(e)
Make sure the EICAS message DOOR BULK CARGO does not show.
(f)
If the EICAS message DOOR BULK CARGO shows, do these steps: 1) Make sure the door is closed and locked. 2) Turn the switch plunger one-half turn counterclockwise
until the EICAS message DOOR BULK CARGO does not show.
(g)
Turn the switch plunger two full turns.
NOTE: This is to give the switch sufficient travel.

(h) Do a test of the warning switch on the bulk cargo compartment door. 1) Open the door. 2) Make sure the message DOOR BULK CARGO shows on EICAS. 3) Close the door. 4) Make sure the message DOOR BULK CARGO does not show on
EICAS.

Adjust the warning switch on the access door for the main electronic equipment compartment (Fig. 503).
(a)
Remove the wire that safeties the two locknuts.
