REFUELING ACCESS DOORS - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains these tasks:
(1)
A removal of the refueling access door
(2)
An installation of the refueling access door
(3)
An inspection/check of the refueling access door.
B.
The refueling access doors are located on the lower side of the wing near the leading edge. The refueling access doors consist of the fueling receptacle access doors on the left and right side and the fueling control panel access door on the left side.
C.
The forward edge of the door is attached with a hinge to the leading edge structure (Fig. 201).
D.
The aft edge of the door is held in position against the panel stiffeners with clamps.

Remove the refueling access door (Fig. 201)

Remove the door.
(a)
Disengage the quick-release clamps (2 per door) at the aft edge of the door and allow the door to move to the open position.
(b)
Remove the fasteners that attach the hinge to the leading edge structure.
(c)
Remove the fasteners that attach the bonding jumper cables to the stiffeners.
(d)
Remove the door.
