Use your hand to put a layer of grease on the hinge pins.

(2)
Install the door.
(a)
Move the door to put the hinge arms into the hinge fittings.
(b)
Assemble the hinges. 1) Install the radius fillers in their correct location. 2) Install the hinge pins and the nuts. 3) Tighten the nuts from 10 to 50 pound-inches. 4) Install the cotter pins.

Examine the clearances around the door.
(a)
Make sure the clearance at the forward and aft edge of the door is from 0.10 to 0.16 inch.
(b)
Make sure the clearance at the left and right sides of the door is from 0.04 to 0.12 inch.
(c)
Remove material from the door if it is necessary to get the correct dimension.
(d)
If you remove material, paint the area with Alodine (Ref 51-21-04/701).

CAUTION:_______DO NOT ADJUST THE LATCH. THE LATCH IS PERMANENTLY SET TO OPEN THE DOOR WHEN IT FEELS A LARGE DIFFERENCE IN PRESSURE.
(4)
Adjust the door.
(a)
Close and latch the door.
(b)
Measure the dimension between the center of the roller and the face of the roller stop (Section A-A).
(c)
Make sure the dimension is between 0.27 and 0.29 inch.
(d)
If it is necessary, get the correct dimension. 1) Open the door. 2) Remove the roller stop block.

3) Change the shims below the roller stop block to get the correct dimension. 4) Install the roller stop block.
(e) Adjust the roller stops (Section A-A).
NOTE: The roller stops hold the door in a position that
____ puts a load on the latch. This is necessary to make the door open when it feels a large pressure difference.
1) Remove the roller stops.
2) Remove the washers from the roller stops.
3) Install the roller stops.
