Control
(1)
If any one door is opened or incompletely latched, the door warning indication for that particular door will be displayed on EICAS.
(2)
If two or more entry doors are open or incompletely latched on one side of the airplane, an EICAS advisory message DOORS ENTRY L or DOORS ENTRY R will be displayed as applicable.
(3)
Any of these switches can make the appropriate forward, aft or side cargo door warning message show on EICAS:
(a)
The door warning switch
(b)
The door latched switch
(c)
The door closed switch.
(4)
The door warning system for the nose cargo door has these characteristics:
(a)
The EICAS message DOOR NOSE CARGO (CAUTION) will show if:
1) The airplane is on the ground and one of these conditions is true: a) Either of the door closed switches senses the door is
not closed
b) One of the sixteen switches on the latches senses the door is not latched
c) Any one of the four electrical lock-out inputs senses the door is not locked
2) The airplane is in the air and one of these conditions is true: a) Both the left and the right door closed switches senses
the door is not closed b) Two of the three latch loops sense the door is not latched c) Two of the four electrical lock-out inputs sense the door is not locked.
(5) If no EICAS messages are displayed then all doors are closed and latched.

(6) On the EICAS doors synoptic page all doors that are open are shown by an amber rectangle that is displayed adjacent to the corresponding door nomenclature. If no rectangle is displayed then the door is closed and latched.
