Procedure
S 424-007
WARNING:_______DO NOT OPEN A DOOR DURING THE INSTALLATION. THE DOOR EMERGENCY MECHANISM WILL OPERATE IF YOU OPEN A DOOR WITH THE MODE SELECTOR LEVER IN THE ARMED (AUTOMATIC/ARM) POSITION. THE EMERGENCY OPERATION OF THE DOOR AND ESCAPE SYSTEM CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1)
Install the switch:
(a)
Attach the switch to the bracket with the bolts.
(b)
Attach the electrical connector to the switch.
(c)
Put the mode selector lever in the disarmed (MANUAL/DISARM) position.
(d)
Make sure the clearance between the manual switch and its actuator is correct (Section A-A). 1) Remove the mode selector lever if it is necessary. 2) Add or remove shims from the switch and the switch actuator
to make the clearance 0.20 |0.03 inch.
(e)
Put the mode selector lever in the armed (AUTOMATIC/ARM) position.
(f)
Make sure the clearance between the automatic switch and its actuator is correct (Section A-A). 1) Remove the mode selector lever if it is necessary.

(g) 2) On doors 1-4, add or remove shims from the switch and its actuator to make the clearance 0.20 |0.03 inch. 3) On door 5, add or remove shims from the switch and its actuator to make the clearance 0.20 to 0.25 inch.Align the switch and the switch actuator (Section B-B): 1) Add or remove shims from the switch, actuator or bracket to make the switch and its actuator align correctly. 2) The actuator and the switch must align in less than 0.03 inch.
(2) S 414-010Install the mode selector lever if it is necessary.
(3) S 414-011Install the lining on the applicable door (AMM 52-11-02/401).
(4) S 864-012Make sure that the mode selector lever is in the disarmed (MANUAL/DISARM) Position.
(5) S 864-013Close these circuit breakers and remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: (a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel 1) 7A1 MAWEA PWR A 2) 7B1 MAWEA PWR B
