Do the Servicing of the High Pressure Controller

Remove the filter plug and associated components from the high pressure controller.
(a)
Discard the O-ring(s).

(2) Refer to the United Technologies/Hamilton Standard manual for the the procedure to clean the air filter (CMM 36-12-02/401).
NOTE: The filter can be cleaned or replaced.

Install new O-ring(s) on the filter plug.

Use the antiseize compound to lubricate the threads of the filter plug.

Install the filter plug and associated components in the port of the high pressure controller.
(a)
Tighten the filter plug to 70-80 pound-inches (8-9 N.m).
(b)
Install the lockwire.

HIGH PRESSURE CONTROLLER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task removes the high pressure controller. The second task installs the high pressure controller. The second task also does a test for the installation of the high pressure controller.
B. These tasks are the same for each engine.
C. The high pressure controller is installed on the forward face of the main gearbox of the engine. It is at the 7:00 o'clock position. It is necessary to open the left half of the thrust reverser to get access to the high pressure controller.
