Open the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

For the applicable engine, open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a)
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 6H32 AIR SUPPLY CONT ENG 1
2) 6H33 AIR SUPPLY CONT ENG 2
3) 6H34 AIR SUPPLY CONT ENG 3
4) 6H35 AIR SUPPLY CONT ENG 4
D. Remove the Fan Air Modulating Valve

Disconnect and put tags on the three wires from the terminal block.

Disconnect the bonding jumper from the ground stud (20).

Disconnect the three tubes from the valve (1).

Remove the coupling (2).
(5)
Remove the fan air modulating valve (1).

If you install a new fan air modulating valve, do the steps that follow to remove the fittings from the used valve:
(a)
Remove the elbow (6), union (7), and O-ring (8) from the TEMP port. 1) Discard the O-ring (8).
(b)
Remove an elbow (3), union (4), and O-ring (5) from the SUPPLY port and the cooling air port. 1) Discard the O-rings (5).

Remove the eight bolts (13), washers (12), and nuts (11) to remove the flange plate (14).
(d)
Remove the ground stud (20) from the valve ground strap.
