PRESSURE REGULATING VALVE (PRV) - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task deactivates the pressure regulating valve. The second task activates the pressure regulating valve.
B. The pressure regulating valve (PRV) is installed at the 10:00 o'clock position. It is near the high pressure compressor (HPC) case. To deactivate the PRV, it is necessary to remove the positioning screw to release the actuator pressure. The positioning screw must be installed in the switch actuating lever to lock the PRV in the CLOSED position.
C. It is necessary to open the left half of the thrust reverser to get access to the PRV.
