Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) Main Power Distribution Panel, P6
a) 6J18 ENG START AIR CONT
(f)
Connect the electrical connector, DV351, to the engine start valve (Refer to AMM 80-11-02/401 to get access to the start valve).
(g)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
1) Main Power Distribution Panel, P6
a) 6J18 ENG START AIR CONT

Do the steps that follow to release the manifold duct pressure.

(b) Put the APU BLEED switch, on the P5 overhead panel, to the ON
position.
(c) Put the L and R ISLN switches, on the P5 overhead panel, to the
OPEN position.
(d) Push the ECS switch on the EICAS display select panel.
(e) Monitor the MANIFOLD DUCT PRESSURE and the ENG DUCT PRESSURE on
the Primary EICAS display.
(f) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel, P7
a) 7F3 LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT ALTN
WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO PERSONS IN THE AREA OF THE
WING LEADING EDGE. THE WING LEADING EDGE THERMAL
ANTI-ICE AIR CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT.
(g)
Put the WING ANTI-ICE switch, on the P5 overhead panel, to the ON position.
(h)
Monitor the MANIFOLD DUCT PRESSURE display.
1) When the left and the right manifold duct pressures go to 0 psig, put the WING ANTI-ICE switch to the OFF position.
(i)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
1) Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel, P7 a) 7F23 LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT ALTN

CAUTION:_______ DO NOT OPERATE THE STARTER TO RELEASE THE PRESSURE IN THE ENGINE BLEED DUCTS. OPERATION OF THE STARTER WITH DUCT PRESSURE LESS THAN 10 PSIG CAN DO DAMAGE TO THE STARTER.
CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO PERSONS BELOW THE ENGINE INLET. THE NACELLE ANTI-ICE AIR EXHAUST CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
