 ENGINE BLEED AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains these tasks:
 -Engine Bleed Air Supply System Operational Test
 -Pneumatic System Ground Tests
 -
Leakage Test of the Pneumatic Ducts Downstream of the PRSOV

 -
Leakage Test of the Engine Bleed Air Ducts Upstream of the PRSOV

 B.
The pneumatic duct leakage can be measured by one of two procedures:


 -
Measure the air flow necessary to keep the duct pressure at 44-46 psig

 -
Measure the rate of pressure decrease (decay).

 C.  
Refer to AMM 36-11-00/601 to perform the bleed down leakage check procedure to monitor the level of leakage in the engine bleed air supply system.

 D.  
Refer to AMM 36-11-00/601 to do the Engine Bleed, Wing Leading Edge and Body Crossover Duct Audible Leakage Check procedure.

 2.  Engine Bleed Air Supply System Operational Test_______________________________________________
 A.  General
 (1)  
This procedure performs an operational test of the engine bleed air supply system with the engines in operation. The test requires that the engines be operated at speeds higher than ground idle (just fast enough to achieve HP/IP switchover) for a short time to simulate as closely as possible to conditions that are experienced in-service.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.
 (4)  
Make sure that all four hydraulic demand pump switches on the M7316 hydraulic module are in the OFF position.
