 3.  Inspect the Titanium Ducts__________________________
 A.  General
 (1)  
The fire-resistant hydraulic fluid can contaminate the titanium ducts. The ducts that are contaminated can be cleaned.

 (2)  
At high temperatures, the fire-resistant hydraulic fluid can react with the titanium and cause it to deteriorate. The ducts that deteriorate must be replaced.

 WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER FOR GROUND MAINTENANCE.
_______ OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER DURING MAINTENANCE CAN CAUSE INJURY AND DAMAGE.
 (1)
Open the applicable left thrust reverser half (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Open the applicable airplane access panels (AMM 06-09-03/201 and 06-09-09/201).

 WARNING: CHECK THAT PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF TE AND LE FLAPS
_______ BEFORE MOVING THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER OFF, TRAILING EDGE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER IS MOVED.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE INBOARD FAN COWL PANELS AND INBOARD REVERSER HALVES
_______ FOR NO. 1 AND 4 ENGINES ARE LOWERED PRIOR TO LEADING EDGE FLAP OPERATION. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO ENGINE COWLING OR THRUST REVERSER HALVES.
 (3)  Extend the leading edge flaps (AMM 27-81-00/201).
