 (19) Do these steps to install the P-Clamps:
 (a)  Remove the bolt and washer that hold the P-Clamp to the valve
 heat shield.
 NOTE: Valve PNs 790270-1 through -12 have a long bolt that____
 goes through a spacer under the heat shield. Hold the
 spacer while you remove the bolt to prevent dislocating
 the spacer. Newer valves have a short bolt that screws
 into a threaded spacer under the heat shield.
 (b)  Put the P-Clamp in its position on the valve heat shield.
 NOTE: Make sure that there are two layers of the permacel____
 tape between the wires and the P-Clamp.
 (c)  Reinstall the washer and the bolt on the valve heat shield.
 1) Tighten the bolt 25 to 30 inch-pounds
 (2.82 to 3.39 newton-meters).
 2) Install a lockwire on the bolt (AMM 20-11-28/401).
 (d)  Put the spacers and the P-Clamp in their positions on the band
 clamp stud.
 NOTE: Make sure that there are two layers of the permacel____
 tape between the wires and the P-Clamp.
 (e)  Install the washer and the nut that hold the P-Clamp to the
 band clamp.
 1) Tighten the nut 25 to 30 inch-pounds
 (2.82 to3.39 newton-meters).

 For the applicable engine, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close the circuit breakers on the main power distribution panel, P6:

 Turn the manual override drive on the HPSOV (1) to the OPEN position.

Hold the HPSOV in the OPEN position.

 Make sure the BLEED HP ENG 1 (2, 3 or 4, as applicable) message comes into view on the EICAS status display.

 Let the HPSOV manual override drive go to the CLOSED position.

 Look at the PRESENT LEG FAULTS page on the CMC.

 (a)  
Find the BLEED HP ENG 1 (2,3 or 4, as applicable) message.

 (b)  
Push the ERASE> line-select key.

 (c)  
Make sure the BLEED HP 1 (2, 3 or 4, as applicable ) message goes off the EICAS status display .

 NOTE: The message will go off the PRESENT LEG FAULTS page at
____ the start of the subsequent flight leg.

 (27) Put the applicable ENGINE BLEED switch to the ON position.

 With the thrust reverser in the half-open position, dry motor the engine (Ref 71-11-00/201).

 Do the steps that follow to examine the valve flanges for leakage:

 (a)  
If bubbles come slowly into view, the quantity of leakage is satisfactory.

 (b)  
If bubbles come quickly into view, or if jet blast leakage occurs, you must repair the cause of the leakage.

 E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
