CAUTION:_______DO NOT INSTALL THE SLEEVE (44) UPSIDE DOWN. FAILURE OF THE VALVE CAN RESULT.
(1) Install a new packing (45) and sleeve (44) in the modulating valve.
NOTE: Single hole end of sleeve (44) should face out.

Install the air filter (43) and spring (42) in the modulating valve.

Install a new packing (41) on the plug (40).

Lubricate the threads of the plug (40) with the anti-seize compound.

Install the plug (40) in the fan air modulating valve.

Tighten the plug (40) to 20 to 30 inch-pounds (2.26 to 3.4 N m).

Close the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(2)
Close the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).
