A. General
(1)
The engine fuel shutoff valves will be referred to as the spar valves in this procedure.
(2)
You can test one or all four of the spar valves in this procedure.
(3)
This task pressurizes the fuel-feed manifold with the spar valves in the closed position to make sure the spar valves do not leak.

To do a check for fuel leaks, you must remove the drain plug(s) on the applicable engine fuel pump.
(a)
The engine fuel pump is installed on the engine main gearbox at the 5 o'clock position.
(b)
You can get the access to the engine fuel pump when you open the left and right half of the thrust reverser.
(5)
This task operates the fuel boost pumps in the inboard and outboard main tanks. Make sure the minimum and maximum fuel quantities called out in the prepare for the test procedure are available.
