WARNING: USE THE TAIL SUPPORT EQUIPMENT IF YOU CANNOT KEEP THE CENTER OF
_______ GRAVITY IN THE LIMITS GIVEN BY THE WEIGHT AND BALANCE MANUAL. IF THE AIRPLANE CENTER OF GRAVITY IS NOT IN THESE LIMITS, THE AFT END OF THE AIRPLANE CAN ROTATE AND HIT THE GROUND.
(1)
Install the tail support equipment if you can not keep the airplane center of gravity in the limits given by the weight and balance manual (AMM 07-11-08/201).
(2)
Refuel the applicable main tanks (AMM 12-11-03/301).

Make sure there is not an external fuel leak at the main tank transfer valves.

Do this task: The Main Tank Transfer Valve Test (AMM 28-16-04/401).

Do these steps to make sure the main tank transfer valves are installed correctly:
(a)
Make sure the FUEL XFER MAIN 1&4 switch is closed.
NOTE: The switch is found on the pilots' overhead panel P5.

(b)
Monitor the fuel quantity for the applicable main tanks.
(c)
Make sure the fuel quantity in the outboard main tank does not decrease, with a subsequent increase in the inboard main tank.

Put the Airplane Back to the Usual Condition

WARNING: DO THE PROCEDURE IN AMM 27-51-00/201 TO REMOVE THE LOCKS AND
_______ ACTIVATE THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS. THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS MOVE QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Activate the outboard trailing edge flaps (AMM 27-51-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND THE EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR BEFORE YOU
_______ MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS, THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS AND THE FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS WILL MOVE. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, ELECTRICAL POWER WILL MOVE THE FLAPS AUTOMATICALLY WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Retract the outboard trailing edge flaps (AMM 27-51-00/201).
(3)
Remove the tail support equipment if installed (AMM 07-11-08/201).

RESERVE TANK TRANSFER SINGLE POINT SENSOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains instructions for the removal and installation of the single point sensors (SPS) for the transfer system in the reserve tank.
B. You can find the SPS in the inboard main tanks at the wing station 440.62, immediately aft of the midspar.
C. Access to the SPS is through the access door for the fuel tank, 544AB or 644AB.
