Do these steps to make sure the VTO shutoff valve for each fuel tank is correctly adjusted.
(a)
Use the auxiliary EICAS display to get to the fuel quantity maintenance page (AMM 45-10-00/201).
NOTE: If it is necessary, use the control display unit (CDU)
____ NEXT PAGE or PREV PAGE keys to find the menu items.
1) Push the line select key (LSK) adjacent to the CMC on the control display unit (CDU) to show the CMC menu. 2) Push the CDU LSK adjacent to the EICAS MAINT PAGES to show the EICAS maintenance page menu. 3) Push the CDU LSK adjacent to the 28 FUEL to show the EICAS PAGE CONTROL menu. 4) Push the CDU LSK adjacent to the OTHER TANKS to show the fuel tank menu.
5) Push the CDU LSK adjacent to the RES 2/RES 3 to show the real time EICAS fuel maintenance page for the No. 2 and No. 3 reserve tanks.
NOTE: The VTO SET value is at the bottom of the screen.

NOTE: Push the CDU LSK adjacent to the OTHER TANKS
____ to view the VTO SET values for the remaining tanks.
(b) Open the electronics access door, 125B, to get access to the fuel quantity processor unit (FQPU).
NOTE: The FQPU is immediately forward of the access door.

(c) Look at the VTO decal to find the VTO value for each fuel tank.
NOTE: The VTO decal is found on the P54 panel.

(d) For each fuel tank, compare the VTO SET value on the EICAS display with the applicable VTO decal value on the P54 panel. 1) If the two values are the same (for a fuel tank) the VTO
shutoff value is correctly adjusted.
2) If the two values are different (for a fuel tank), do the this task: VTO Card Calibration Adjustment (AMM 28-21-32/501).

Make sure all of the fuel tanks are not full to the VTO level.

Move the fuel to a different tank or defuel the airplane if it is necessary (AMM 28-26-00/201).
