Defuel the applicable fuel tank (AMM 28-26-00/201).

Remove the refuel valve control unit (AMM 28-21-02/401).

Purge and prepare the tank for entry (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Remove the nuts and washers (3 locations) that attach the valve unit to the rear spar.

Remove the fuel tank access doors, when it is necessary, to get access to the valve unit (AMM 28-11-02/401).
NOTE: Refer to the subsequent table for access data.

Remove the bolt, washers, and nut that attach the bonding jumper to the grounding lug on the valve unit.

Remove the lockwire between the outlet flange bolt and the inlet tube coupling nut.

Remove the bolts (4 locations) that attach the outlet tube to the valve unit.

Disconnect the outlet tube and the valve unit.

Remove the orifice plate and the gasket seal.

Disconnect the inlet tube coupling from the valve unit.

Discard the O-ring.
