(d) Apply Alodine 600 to bare metal areas to prevent corrosion and degradation of the bond.
(2) S 434-021Install the new packings (2, 3, and 4), lubricated with petrolatum grease, into the grooves on the motor/impeller unit (1).
(3) S 434-022Install the new packing, lubricated with petrolatum, on the drain plug and install plug in the motor/impeller unit (1).
(4) S 434-045Install the drain plug in the motor/impeller unit (1).
(5) S 434-046Install lockwire on the drain plug (9).
(6) S 614-023Put 1/2 to 1 pint of fuel into two smaller slots in the top side of the motor/impeller unit (1).
(7) S 614-047Turn the impeller to help the internal parts of the boost pump get wet.

CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL OR TURN THE MOTOR/IMPELLER UNIT IN
_______ THE HOUSING. IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, DAMAGE TO THE PACKING COULD OCCUR.

Put the motor/impeller unit (1) in the housing.

Turn the motor/impeller unit (1) until the index hole aligns with the index pin in the housing.

Install the bonding clip (9) on the motor/impeller unit (1), with two screws (5) (View B). For bonding clip (10), use three screws (5).
NOTE: Do not tighten the screws (5) at this time.

Install the bonding jumper (8), washers (12), bolt (11) and nut (13) to the bonding clip (9 or 10) (SWPM 20-20-00).

Apply these finishes to any cleaned areas of the bonding clip (9 or 10) that are not covered by the jumper terminal:

Alodine 600 (AMM 51-21-04/701)
(b)
BMS 10-20 Type II primer (AMM 28-11-00/801).
